The new super welterweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (36-0), arrived to hero's welcome at Mexico's Miguel Hidalgo airport. WBC's top Superwelterweights:

          Alfredo Angulo
          Paul Williams
          Ryan Rhodes
          Antonio Margarito
          Vanes Martirosyan
          Lukas Konecny
          Zaurbek Baysangurov
          Kermit Cintron
          Saul Roman
          Erislandy Lara
          Sergio Mora
          Damian Jonak
          Pawel Wolak
          Timur Nergadze

I don't even mind if he opts for Cintron, who's ranked # 8 right now. Emanuele Della Rosa (#16), who's the WBC Int. champ, could also get a fast track to him.

Wow, as of today, Austin Trout isn't even in the WBC top 40. I wonder if he ends up fighting Alvarez next how they will justify ranking him. I imagine if they want to fight a real contender, #3 Ryan Rhodes would be their pick. He is at least a legitimate contender and seems to have earned his shot. No way he will fight Angulo, P-Will or Margarito anytime soon...

Ryan Rhodes would not be an easy fight what so ever, he has twice the skill & power of Mathew Hatton.
