As far as quality matchups go,showtime absolutely bosses on hbo.If U wanna see stars play around with overmatched guys,go with hbo.Ohh,did I mention that showtime also has fights on friday too??
But yeah,Broner is clearly,clearly detached from reality.This guy sounds like Alexander atm.You were not winning guy & U definitely didn't dominate anything saturday night.U & ur team might need a shrink thinking like that.Comment

The kid is 21....that's right 21. I'm sure the poise and maturity was obvious among all of you at that age.
This is boxing yet all these shut up and fight post are always on here. Someone even said skill wise he sucks........wtf?
De leon is getting praised for what? He gets credit for landing weak ass straight left hand body shots. Did he out land broner? NO(ok by 1 punch) Did ponce out connect broner? NO and yes defense is a part of boxing. When ponce went upstairs I saw a lot of swing and misses followed by a strong counter. No broner's performance wasn't a thing of beauty but again he's 21. I dont remember broner being backed up all night, ponce had his back on the ropes almost every round. He shouldn't get credit because his opponent wasn't active. You have to do something with that inactive fighter and ponce never did.
As many punches landed with a much higher connect % and the crisper cleaner harder shots all in your favor..........Broner won.
The judge who had it 99-91 should be fired. I will admit it was a lot closer than that.Comment

His team knew that he wasn't dominating which is why they kept telling him don't let this guy steal the fight. Personally, I had the same exact score as Harold Lederman and scored the rounds exactly the same as he did. This guy is also an arrogant prick without having accomplished a damn thing so I think his name should be Adrien Boner. I look forward to the day somebody cleans this guys clock but I don't think it will be Jason Litzau, although I would love to see it happen...Comment

my beef is the fact there is a new generation of "fighters" that their #1 priority is making money & winning... perfect records dont mean anything when their babied by HBO & their promotors... i hate the fact that they expect floyd/pac paydays after they've been on HBO ONCE. im sure broner sees the big money floyd makes with the least risk... but broner forgets floyd put his BEST work @ lightweight. arguably, floyd deserves to take the easy route (same with pac)... but it seems all these prospects are quick to get the money before putting the work in....
gone are the days of hagler, hearns, duran, & leonard... when fighters had SUPERB boxing ability & wasnt afraid to get BRUISED UP.
i hate the fact that some boxers use trash-talk to sell tickets instead of action in the ring.
broner has talent, but he hasnt earned the right to dismiss his critics & expect praise for a lazy performance. the lack of humility kills me.

1st of all Broner is full of S H I T & in denial, cause to say & believe that he ONLY LOST 1 round & that it was the round he decided to take off is crazy..Especially when a good amount of people that watched the fight think he actually lost the fight(including ALL the commentators from HBO)...Then he says that he doesn't have to worry about the 85 to 90% of the people that criticized him cause they never been in a ring..Yet he forgets that a person doesn't have to step in a ring to have ANY knowledge about boxing, just ask people like Brain Kenny, Bert Sugar & Puerto Rican boxing historian Mario Martinó how many times they stepped into the ring actually to fight someone, the answer would be NONE, yet that doesn't mean they don't know anything about the game...& Broner forgets that those 85 to 90% of people that never stepped in a ring are the same ones that watch boxing, buy tickets to assist the boxing venues & are the 1's that order the PPV's & with out them, the sport of boxing ain't S H I T!!! He calls out Litzau & Juarez that even thou they aren't the elite of the division, BUT if he fight them THE SAME WAY he fought Ponce De Leon, he should loose.. Unless they also get robbed!!
He also mentions feather fisted Eloy Perez, but then says he doesn't think the fight will happen cause Perez is a Golden Boy fighter, he forgets that Ponce De Leon is also a Golden Boy fighter & there wasn't a problem making that fight...Last edited by Tomasio; 03-08-2011, 09:57 AM.Comment

Honesty, the was one of the easiest fights to score, easiest. To me De Leon clearly won and I can't see a case for Broner. One thing though, I'm not gonna act like De Leon whopped his ass, that was hardly an ass whopping.Comment

this was a close fight,and broner dissapointed,he should have looked awesome in there against a guy who was way smaller than him,de leon was slow,no power in this division...this was perfect for broner to look brilliant and he didn't..litzau isn't that good eitherComment
