Sam Peter vs. Robert Helenius on April 2

I've got Hellboy by decision. I don't think he's going to KO Peter.
Peter's still a very dangerous live opponent but I think some of the things that caused him problems in the Klitsch fights are going to cause him problems here, namely not being able to get in range to land his bombs with any regularity whilst being caught by the taller rangier opponent. Course, Helenius isn't a Klitsch by any stretch of the imagination, and Peter will have his chances here expecially if he pressure from the start. Levin did that and had some success in the first round. He also exposed Helenius' rather limp jab when forced on the backfoot (Helenius has a decent jab when he's going on the offence, but he was pushing it with no real authority against Levin). If Helenius can't get a solid jab going into Peter's face it'll give Peter a lot of confidence in going forward and that could spell bad news for him.
Very crossroads fight, though, for both men, and a good indicator of where they stand at this moment in time.Comment

You think so? I honestly don't see anyone in the HW division who fights the same style as Wlad. Helenius has a much more meat and potatoes style, upright, hands up, pump the jab etc. Much more like Dimitrenko or Thompson. His footwork's ok but he lets fighters get on the inside too much. If he does that he needs to learn how to clinch them up or smother their work. Presently he just stands there hands up and absorbs the punches on the gloves. Not good against a puncher. His jab's also nowhere near as authoritative as it should be.Comment

He has deceptively fast hands and he hits very hard. I think he might KO Peter.Comment

Hellenius is definitely going in against top opposition here. Credit to him for that. Haye would never have fought Peter in a month of Sunday's.Comment
