I agree with you, the commentators were awful too.

The way they nutthugged him during the whole fight giving him an even round in a round he was technically KD in and was clear to anyone losing before it was just disgraceful.

Judah was just too patient a defensive minded, his footwork looked good, he was making Mabuza miss bad, jab was on point, the counter left was short quick and powerful, and he finished him. and Mabuza is a dude who had a belt. But since your not a fan and hate on Judah your gonna find something negative about his win and performance. all that matters is he said he was gonna get a major title again and he did

good movement and defense is improved but he seems like he can't pull the trigger and has seemed this way since after the Cotto fight. Why? Maybe age, maybe wear and tear and a combination if psychological factors but for whatever reason he seems to be unable to let his hands go, especially in combinations. I have a feeling mentally he doesnt want to take the risk of getting hit but who knows. I am impressed that he has had the mental toughness to regain a belt and be in position to have another great payday and end to a very good career.

I don't think Judah should let his hands go in combination because that is taking something back.

Judah has proven to not be able to throw combinations and not get beat up in return, but if he fights in a more controlled manner he can be more effective because he still has ability.

He looked good. They were just shocked at his poise like everybody who watched it. Its a little off subject but what did you think of Broner? Im asking because it would give me more of a gauge for how you judge a fighters skills.

I think his low punch output was due to him trying to adjust to a new defensive style. Judah will be more furocious and confident from this fight on. He had to change from the impatient style that got him battered against Cotto.

I don't think he looked awful but not as good as some reports right after the fight made him out to be. His punch output was too low and I thought Mabuza was starting to wear him down a little right when he got caught. Overall I thought it was a pretty good performance though, he just needs to incorporate more offense into his refound defense. That low punch output will get him outworked and his defense, even though better, is not that great and will not be enough to carry him through fights.

Bam Bam (brawler for the most part) was fighting against a dangerous top level opponent in his weight class that could box very well. The first several rounds showed the skill disparity between both Rios and Acosta. Acosta had Brandon badly hurt in the early rounds (Brandon admitted it). Brandon went from being badly hurt and badly outclassed the first several rounds to stalking his opponent and knocking him down several times to knocking him out.

Zab on the other hand had all the 'potential' in the world and was a 'could have' been fighter his whole career who always fell short in big fights. The guy fought a good fight.. showed his new defense.. though low punch output he did what he was supposed to do.. but he in no way looked wayy better than Bam Bam.

He has a fast hands and ability, a little too negative and waits for his offense to be created for him. I thought he lost but he has talent, its just a matter of how he better utilizes it.
