Floyd Mayweather at 34 is DONE in terms of greatness

That depends on Floyd's head, he is pretty much the definition of a guy that will last in boxing but he has been on those silk sheets for a long time now and generally guys lose their edge in that situation. When it comes to boxing Floyd is pretty disciplined though so tough to say.
I think he has more than 1 great fight but he will get much more hit and miss as time passes.Comment

At some point that stops though when experience no longer cancels out athletic loss but that still needs to get taken advantage of.Comment

I just realized on BoxRec this dude turned 34 the other day. He's completely DONE, unless he fights Pacquiao this year, in terms of being ranked as an all time great fighter.
I believe he will be like Roy Jones, and fight on too long because look what he did when the IRS came after him he fought, if he had other stuff he could be doing he'd be out of the game by now.
His legs are gone, he's 34, he never really was a GREAT fighter, just a really good fighter who could've been great. He achieved a lot, like beating DLH and Hatton, but that's about it. He's a huge "what-if".Comment

That is the plus side of the situation he has been dealing with it and hiding it fairly well. The downside is he will become more and more of a spoiler as time passes.

PonceD won that fight easy but I knew they would give it to Broner. For some reason I think he knew too.

He did look slower against DLH but that is because he was bloated and had no business carrying that much weight into a boxing ring. As far as the Shane fight, he didnt move because it wouldve been wasted motion on a guy who was there to hit and wouldnt fire back. He certainly wasnt hurting for hand speed.Comment

I saw a video of him in January and he looked close to 170 IMO. I mean, he looked in good shape but with lots more weight than I had ever seen him sport. But he does train year round so it probably doesn't matter.Comment

If you don't adapt that is how you end up like Roy Jones.Comment
