That depends on Floyd's head, he is pretty much the definition of a guy that will last in boxing but he has been on those silk sheets for a long time now and generally guys lose their edge in that situation. When it comes to boxing Floyd is pretty disciplined though so tough to say.

I think he has more than 1 great fight but he will get much more hit and miss as time passes.

Yup, I think that's the either or scenario. I first noticed he was slowing down when he fought Oscar. I can't imagine all that inactivity helping. He looked like he lost a bit in every single athletic category against Mosley. Can't imagine that getting better either.

That is the plus side of the situation he has been dealing with it and hiding it fairly well. The downside is he will become more and more of a spoiler as time passes.

At some point that stops though when experience no longer cancels out athletic loss but that still needs to get taken advantage of.

I believe he will be like Roy Jones, and fight on too long because look what he did when the IRS came after him he fought, if he had other stuff he could be doing he'd be out of the game by now.

His legs are gone, he's 34, he never really was a GREAT fighter, just a really good fighter who could've been great. He achieved a lot, like beating DLH and Hatton, but that's about it. He's a huge "what-if".
Is this a joke? So now Foyd is shot? Nobody has hit this man with a clean combo in a decade and a half. No wear and tear. You are absolutely not paying attention if you say he lost his legs because of the way he fought Mosley. He chose to fight that way because he intimedated Shane. Why would he be bouncing around with a guy who cant pull the trigger. You havent seen any signs of what youre saying. If anything we've seen Pac look more and more vulnerable because he gets hit and hit hard on the regular. He trumps Floyd for ring wear and tear. Stop makin up ****. Most of these WW's he beats even at the age of 40.

Yup. You think he takes another tuneup before the big boys?

No I don't I think he will go the ****y route, unless he is really out of shape and he still looked like he could fight tomorrow last time I saw pictures of him.

PonceD won that fight easy but I knew they would give it to Broner. For some reason I think he knew too.

He was hit more as a youngster. Bloody noses and things of that nature.

He did look slower against DLH but that is because he was bloated and had no business carrying that much weight into a boxing ring. As far as the Shane fight, he didnt move because it wouldve been wasted motion on a guy who was there to hit and wouldnt fire back. He certainly wasnt hurting for hand speed.

I saw a video of him in January and he looked close to 170 IMO. I mean, he looked in good shape but with lots more weight than I had ever seen him sport. But he does train year round so it probably doesn't matter.

That is a function of style but the fact that he has changed up how he fights shows that he has an understanding of his situation which augers well for him going forward.

If you don't adapt that is how you end up like Roy Jones.
