Hatton deserves a lot of praise.

If you ignore idiots like Kellerman who wanted to just downtalk his performance all night, he actually fought very well.

He was fighting a much bigger guy. A younger, stronger, harder hitting guy, and he held his own. He never really got hurt, and he threw a lot of fast combination's.

I would watch Hatton fight again anytime, as he came to fight and fought his heart out until the last round.

I think he has the right idea moving back down to 147 and fighting guys his own size.

Alvarez gave a great performance. Hatton held his own and I don't think he deserved all the negative criticism from Kellerman and Papa throughout the fight. To the average fan watching and hearing that, they will make Hatton out to be a bum, and that just isn't right.

They were being a little hard on him but what they were saying wasn't wrong.

      The guy's a bum.

It says Canelo fought a bum...really Hatton has no power all his wins were in the UK not only that but he lost a couple of them there which tells you something about him. He was there to collect a check, I don't blame him but he sucks

Not that much praise. That's what boxers are supposed to do, fight until the final bell.

Matthew Hatton has won away from the UK before. I remember a fight on Ricky's Malignaggi undercard in Las Vegas.

He was there to win, not just to accept a check - he gave it his best effort and tried to win.

Max Kellerman's kept commenting that Hatton has no talent or skill, but I think he has plenty of both. He has little punching power though, and was much smaller that Alvarez.

He was there to collect a check like Marquez was against Mayweather. They both went up in weight with no intentions of staying there just to collect the biggest pay day in his career. And yes he fought only one time in the US against a guy who was 39-11 and won a decision.
