    When you consider what Alvarez did to Carlos Baldomir, a guy who had never been stopped before (and hadn't been even knocked down in what, 10 years?), Hatton deserves some credit. I thought Alvarez would blow Hatton out early, but he never really even hurt him. Props to Hatton for atleast being game. Too bad, without any power, Hatton never stood even the slightest chance of winning.

          You know, this fight worked out pretty well for Matthew. Nobody was expecting him to even last 12 rounds, let alone win. But he made it to the end on his feet and unhurt. And he got a nice little bonus from Alvarez coming in overweight, which solidified his loss as "excused" even more.
