Alvarez came in at 151.8-pounds. and Hatton came in at 149.6. The co-feature, with super featherweights in action, also made weight. Adrien Broner was 129.8-pounds and Daniel Ponce De Leon 128.4-pounds.

So, did he make weight on the second try or what ?

Or have they not had the second attempt as yet ?

A few months back, because of Canelo's propensity for fights at 150, Saul's trainer was asked if Canelo was too big for 147..... he replied, nah, he will make 147 for the big fights, we just want to preserve his career and health by limiting the amount of times that he has to work to get down to 147.

Not sure what I think of that now?

Doesn't surprise me at all to hear that. Matt Hatton carries himself really well, it would be hard to not like the guy, I wish him the best of luck. Regardless as to their limitations, I like both of those Hatton bro's.

Exactly bro, good point. Like has happened on many previous occasions, the title should be at stake for Hatton only.

No it shouldn't and isn't. Alvarez is under 154 so it is still for the belt for both as it should be.

Upon reflection, I will give you that..... simply because I disagree with catch-weights, especially if a title is at stake.

But the point is, Canelo failed to meet his contractual obligations, Hatton did not. The fact that a title is up for grabs was only an after-thought by Sulaiman anyways.

                    But, fair call.
