I completely disagree, I cannot accept that weak ****.

When you demand a catchweight, you are admitting that you could not compete with that fighter at his comfortable weight.

The only reason a catchweight was included for this fight, was so that Matt Hatton did not get monstered by Canelo. Hatton is not an elite fighter, so he will struggle with the size of Saul.

The fact that Hatton requires a catchweight against a guy who is most likely not even ranked in the top 10, proves that this fight should not have a title at stake.

For ***s sake, there are now 4 recognised sanctioning bodies, so there is more than one road you can take to get to the "top"..... the divisions are much smaller than they used to be, so it is far less common to witness a physical mismatch..... but, now we gotta cheapen that **** even further by installing yet another another weak clause diminishing the bout as a contest?

You probably think Ray Leonard is a genuine LHW champ, and Manny is a genuine JMW champ. Would that be correct?

      You are 100% correct.

Catch-weight's were originally conceived to enable a bout to take place between two (usually) name opponents who would normally never fight because of weight disparity. In other words..... $$$$$

They were known as..... an " exhibition match ".

So the term " side-show "..... is technically correct.
