How many fighters has Lacy fought who had 19 world championship wins? Eubank had 19 world championship wins and an iron jaw to give with it - but Calzaghe just came out and became the first man to ever score a legitimate knockdown on him (something far more impressive than Lacy on an-even-more-washed-up-than-Eubank-was version of Reid).

Yeah, what the hell happened to Reid, he was a good fighter at one stage.

You will probably know, didnt Eubank say Calzaghe was the hardest puncher he's ever faced, i read a quote a while ago.

Far from his best!? he was 28 years old in the prime of his career, coming off huge wins off of other superstars in the division, and regarded as one of the best in boxing at the time. I know you brits dont like anything hop does, but you have to give him a LITTLE credit (I know you said he was a good fighter to watch, which is more than what most from the UK would say). Or did you mean he was far from his best that night?

Again, why is Joppy a legitimate opponent on the resume of Taylor, but Hopkins beat a shot fighter.

Hopkins made the Taylor fight not the other way around, he seems to get little credit for trying to fight the best, rather he gets called out for fighting nobodies, who were mandatories by the way. I never knock Joe for taking mandatories, though I'm aware others do.

No they didn't, he clearly slipped on water in the corner of the ring against Benn and kind of purposely dropped to his knees against Watson (through exhaustion).

Lacy hasnt been ready for a long time but as soon as he is he wants the divisions number 1 to go running to him?? They should just shut up and wait a few months until the hand is OK, its no big deal.
I agree. That's ******, to me, it sounds like Lacy's camp is running scared, or something.

                      LOL!!

Eubank was totally shot-it in the Collins rematch (he retired right after) due to the fact that he had had to drop from 190-200 all the way down to 168 no fewer than eight times in 12 months. He had been retired for over two years (apart from a couple of self-promoted exhibitions in the Middle East at light-heavy) before coming out of retirement for Calzaghe with only a weeks notice and had to lose over 25lbs bodyweight in under a week!
