so the wbc will demand the fight be at the full limit since it's for a belt but they wouldn't do the same for the cotto vs pacquiao fight? corrupt & full of ****!

Ricky should say that if Blake Griffen is overweight Ricky is going in.

At first what Hatton was saying was making perfect sense to me, but then I got to the part where he mentioned there was a clause in the contract where financial penalties were stipulated for either fighter being above 150. Why put those clauses in the contract if you don't intend to abide by them?

I'm sure the Hatton camp is pretty steamed over the WBC corruption/bias/bull****, and this is probably just a bit of gamesmanship as a response. It will get the young kid thinking, especially if he started to let his weight go in the last couple of days.

Why do they want Matthew Hatton to give so much weight?

anyone would think he was Thomas Hearns.

Matthew Hatton is a nice enough boxer at his level but he can't punch. They need to show him the respect of at least not trying to take it all away from him and priming him for a pointless beating.

Why are Golden Boy stitching Matthew Hatton up? Hatton isnt even the best Welterweight in the UK so moving every conceivable advantage towards Alvarez seems completely unfair.
This could be a very dangerous fight for Hatton if Alvarez weighs in at 154...

I think the main problem is if Canelo comes in at 151 or 154 lbs, he loses 30% of his purse, as opposed to losing money for each pound over. So, he could just say f**k it, I will eat the 30% and come in at 154. I believe the change had nothing to do with the WBC not sanctioning this as a title fight unless contested at the weight limit, I believe GBP forced their hand to help their fighter. Everything about this fight screams setup and this title was contested for Pacquiao vs. Margarito at 150 lbs, so why not this fight. GBP and the WBC are putting everything in favor of the Mexican boxer, which is completely unfair and unscrupulous.

Golden Boy is a fraud, they've done this before with the Floyd v JMM fight and you know the result.
