Pacquiao comes back on May 7 against Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather is dealing with a few legal issues before he resumes his boxing career.

Mayweather has no chance. He's a part time fighter and we all saw what happened to Oscar. Pacquiao is a beast.

You mean WHERE IS COTTO??? Cotto has shown how good, and how BAD he is in his last 4 fights... Come on man... Floyd wanted to fight him back in the day when he was coming on strong after Floyd fought Gatti and Arum hid him under the bed.. He said himself, "He's still too green." What do you say about that??? Cotto never, ever mentioned any desire to fight Floyd. PERIOD. I guess in YOUR world the best fighter in the world challenges the up and comers???? Man let me school you all on something right now. Bob and Floyd are ruined goods. Bob said himself that Floyd was the best fighter he had ever seen since Ali, and held him in the same lime light as SRL. Their business finished terribly sour worse than DLH and Arum, and since then, they have not made any business. And they probably never will.. You can see how reasonable Bob Arum is with GBP.. Well what you all see as simply GBP and Floyd.. he sees as the two *ssholes that kept him from making big money, working together to make more money. The only way I see this fight going down is if Pac pulls a Shane and bails for a one fight stint

        • If you accuse Floyd on PEDs then you're worse than a Mongoloid! Floyd's style is to tap your face and bore you to death. And in his last fight, his legs weren't there anymore so no PEDs. Accuse Pac and it's valid, but think about this, Pac has been a KO artist since 4 wins 4 decision start. And except for Hatton, Pac hasn't got a 1 punch KO. Pac always ends his prey in a flurry of power punches. Now Donaire almost did this to half his opponents (1 punch KO). He's more qualified to be on PEDs bcoz he hits like a Middleweight in a Flyweight division!

It can indeed. If Mayweather decides, let's say that he can handle Pacquiao's pressure and tries to fight him toe to toe like he did Mosley. Pacquiao is too quick on his feet and with his combos for Mayweather to handle IMO.

Samething if he tries his classic style to counter(or as the haters put it; pot shot) and watch for mistakes. Pacquiao will hit you with 2 good shots while you wait for him to be out of position for the 3rd; His work rate will win him the rounds.

Honestly I think a Jab focused style like he did against Marquez would stop Pac from coming in and out with ease, and cold make him take more risk to get in on Mayweather making his counterpunching more effective in the later rounds.

He countered DLH's (I know he was slow), Cotto's (who had a very good jab), Clottey's (not many thrown though) and Marg's. Pac won't be as sucessful countering Floyds as he doesn't have a speed advantage but if he does start countering it I can see Floyd stop throwing it and using something less likely to be countered like lead left hooks. After all, Pac will most likely be circling away from Floyd's right hand, sitting in left hook territory.

First let me say this....i don't know who wins, but i would prob favour the guy who has been more active. Floyd is getting old and his reflexes and speed have slowed with age and moreso inactivity.

Now on to business. Little know fact (well at least i beleive it's fact) Floyd's left hook is his best punch....it's better than his right hand...but i agree with the jab part. Floyd won't his jab.....it's almost worthless against a SP of Manny's speed and just opens him up to right hook counters. NO, Floyd will do what he always does against SP's....he will look to counter their jab with his own short left hook over the top. He will look to the straight right hand lead to the head and also the straight right hand to the body and throw in left hooks upstairs and down where appropriate.

If Floyd's legs and reflexes are still there (i mean the sort he showed at 147 against Baldomir) this could be one of the most boring fights in history, with Floyd moving constantly and never engaging unless it's on is terms. By throwing 15 punches a rd and landing 6-8 punches.

              • I recently read that Floyd admitted to a boxer, because his really concern about "Pacquioa speed" and his relentless style. Being a southpaw doesn't help em either which he has troubled in the past. Floyd will probably land some punches but he must do it at early rounds, but Floyd problem is he doesn't throw enough to deter Pac full attack. Pacquaio has greater advantage in the long distance because he is simply BUSY, far difficult style than any Floyd has fought, and Pac comes from all-angles. PAC WIN!

                • If so mr ODLH, when will Floyd Jr. muster enough courage to fight Pac so we can see how accuracy your predictions will be..? Talking is cheap especially if not supported by actions by cowering PBF!

                    • This is Golden Bull****!!! If DLH was a student of styles he would know that Floyd was seriously hurt by two left handed fighters Chop Chop with a right hook and Judah twice with a right hook and a straight left. Floyd lost the first Castillo fight and even though Castillo is not a lefty he was a pressure fighter. So we know Floyd had the most trouble with left handers and pressure fighters. Pacquiao is better lefty than Chop Chop and Judah and a better pressure fighter than Castillo. Now he fought those guy in his 20s when he still had his legs. At 34 his legs are not as fresh. Ali could fight in his mid 30s without his legs, all heart. Roy Jones couldn't and I think that Floyd will be more like Jones than Ali. The best chance Floyd would have had to beat Manny was probably anytime before June of 2008. Manny is Just too much right now... BTW, DLH was talking about Floyd's power? Really??? Floyd didn't even knock Judah out or at least put him down. Everybody knocks Judah down, even Cory Spinks. I think DLH was just more embarassed by the Pacquiao loss because he was made to quit and in the Floyd fight he lost by split decision. Manny KO7 over Floyd by a counter right hook.
