  • Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Mayweather-Pacquiao Happens, Floyd Will Win

The President of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, expects the mega-fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. to take place. Twice the sides have negotiated and twice the negotiations fell through, but De La Hoya feels there is too much money involved for the fight not to happen. Pacquiao comes back on May 7 against Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather is dealing with a few legal issues before he resumes his boxing career.

Manny wont take the blood test. Floyd beats him all week and 2x on Sunday

Mayweather beats Manny all week and twice on Sunday! Manny s chance are slim and none and I just heard Slim left town.

honestly, this fight is overrated imo anyway, it will be one of mayweathers easier wins, its not gonna be the back and forth action everyone is expecting, manny may have his moments like shane, but he will get outclassed.....

I wouldn't be surprised if Oscar hires a hitman to finish Pac off once and for all when he stops fighting.

I can just imagine him waking up in a cold sweat after having nightmares about Manny, then proceeding to throw darts at his Pac picture on his bedroom door

This fight is much closely matched than it was 2 years before.

If Pacman can look good throwing combos and make the counters from Floyd look insignificant and can see a points win.

Seriously, I think if it's close it'll go to Pacman, Floyd needs to put on a show of dominance, and it's hard enough it's against a southpaw where his defense is somewhat limited as well as counter punching opputunities.

Floyd needs to be active and not cruize the rounds.

corrected, but still true, I doubt Arum would pick May to win and vice versa.

If it were that easy for Floyd, I believe the fight would've happened already.
