Not to mention DLH thought JMM would beat Floyd.

It's that easy Oscar? You probably thought you were best equipped to beat Mosley, Trinidad, Hopkins, Mayweather and Pacquiao the same ways you think 'your guy' Mayweather should beat Pacquiao. Then WHY didn't it work out for you Oscar against those fighters you lost to??? Because the way you size up a fight on paper doesn't always turn out that way. You have to factor in Intelligence, Heart, Courage, Strength, and so many other variables that aren't so easy to factor in. The worst thing working AGAINST Floyd, is he DOESN'T want to fight Manny and risk his "0". The difference is Manny WANTS to fight Floyd, win, lose, or draw, and that WANT vs a DONT WANT, is a huge factor for winning a fight. Mayweather is scared, has had TWO chances to sign with Manny and opted to go hide. Everyone else has lined up to fight Manny. You can't win a fight scared.
        Good one !!

He countered DLH's (I know he was slow), Cotto's (who had a very good jab), Clottey's (not many thrown though) and Marg's. Pac won't be as sucessful countering Floyds as he doesn't have a speed advantage but if he does start countering it I can see Floyd stop throwing it and using something less likely to be countered like lead left hooks. After all, Pac will most likely be circling away from Floyd's right hand, sitting in left hook territory.
Most of those fighter use the jab as an afterthought though. Mayweather can use it to keep Pacquiao out of range and at the end of his straight right. Mayweather kept Marquez right where he wanted him all night long and i think could do the same with Pacquiao.

I don't think he should stand his ground and trade with Pacquiao like he did with Mosley, nor do i think he can just wait to counter Pac and keep a slow pace. Manny's too active, both would be playing into Pacs hands IMHO.

Can you tell me the difference between random testing through the fight process and a single blood test just after the fight ?? The same test Manny took after the Morales fight. And guess what..the result was negative.

I think Floyd's best gameplan would be to do exactly what he did with Mosley, try to smother Pac, fight him on the inside (where he's much better) and catch Pac when he's exiting the pocket. That's where his advantages are at their peak and his vulnerabilities are limited. Pac doesn't tie up and likes that half step to get behind his punches so he doesn't trade much chest to chest and always steps out, perhaps the most predictable behavior of pac. Only problem is, he is damn fast at getting outta there and he can go back, to either side, hell he can get behind you before you know it.

And as far as the "vs opponents right in front of him" comparision, the same thing can be said for Floyd's opponents for the past hmm 8+years

Power is definately in Pac's favor, he knocked down and hurt Cotto one single punches relatively early in the fight and buckled Marg to the body. Floyd's workrate is much lower, but you guys tout how accuracy and catching people with hits his opponents don't see are what score KD's, yet when's the last time he staggered someone, let alone KD? Sniper implys high power, high accuracy, he's more of a .22 @ ww, accurate as hell but not really knocking anything down or out.

Taking 2 solid shots and having your knees buckle until you can hold isn't having a "granite chin"...a granite chin takes those shots and shows no sign of wear and tear (ala Marg eating 100+ of those shots before staggering)
Never been KO is a granite chin!!!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA!!!! Plz... Since when has hurting Cotto been the level of measuring ones punching power... Paulie, Chop Chop, Torres hurt him... Nice try... Floyd doesn't hurt many fighters cuz he doesn't expose himself to being countered... thats his secret... Others gamble on getting countered... NOT FLOYD. Marg does have a granite chin...agreed. .22?!?! You're funny.. You don't even believe that.. come on man. Cotto got whooped, but it was the quantity, not quality of shots... Floyd would TKO Cotto too... Cotto gives, but he can't take... thats why he is entertaining... Margarito takes, but can't give... Clottey takes, and doesn't give LOL!!!!! Floyd doesn't take, and he gives!!!!! simple math right??? lol... don't take it all too serious folks... kiddin around.

I'd imagine Pacquiao's handspeed as well as excellent footwork, plus the fact he likes to throw more then one punch at a time would give Mayweather a lot of problems toe to toe. I guess we'll have to just wait and see how it all plays out.

                    • Laughing at everyone that thinks Mayweather would ever get in the ring with Pacquiao. Seems Floyd is almost the only one that thinks he will lose to Manny.
