I just dont see Solis being in that great of shape or even puttng on as much pressure as Oreola did.
This dude got so much hype for what he did in the amateurs..which was done at a cruiser 'weight' 50 to 70 lbs ago. Who knows.. he does seem to really have fast hands when he lets his hands go.. can he get close to Vitali for it to matter... I wouldn't mind seeing a toe to toe battle like we saw with Sanders & Lewis but i'm not banking on it...Vitali simply does not let you in unless you're an exceptionally fast southpaw with a quick powerful trigger or an alltime great Brit that has similar size & boxing skills.

He did not beat him handily and you could have had the fight very close at the time of the DQ, its a decent win for VK though because Solis does have some skill and ability. I hope he comes in shape so ppl have less to criticize about this win.

Sorry man, but you're blind if you thought that fight was even remotely close.

I struggle to remember a single clean punch from Austin...that wasn't caught on the glove.

Ok, so fine score for Solis walking forward doing nothing early getting hit with a jab, he in no way convincingly was winning.

It will depend on what sort of career Solis goes on to have after the fight.

He was beating Austin bad, knockdown and all. So bad that Austin found his way out of the fight.

Sure, he wasn't active about it. Did gass out midway. Not a showcase piece by any means, but it was still dominant.

Later on sure he was, maybe he would have even stopped him had he not gotten intentionally DQ'd but I didn't see a domination and it wasn't the most impressive showing.

austin is a damn ******, everytime i watch that last round where he pushes solis over the ropes and hugs the ropes so the referee can't pull them up really just infuriates me to the point that i dont know how anyone there didn't just punch him in his ****** face afterwards, if i was one of his cornermen i would've punched him in the mouth right after he removed his gumshield, what a ****

I can agree with you there.

I'm a Solis fan and am one of the few people who thinks the weight has helped him in his fights. I've never seen any issues with stamina, and have seen massive strength gains as his fights have accumulated until the Austin one. That is the only fight in my opinion where he faught the way he looks.

The negative comments are justified for that fight. I chalk it up to lack of motivation for an opponent who was obviously not a threat (Jab KD, comon).

The recent reports of Solis' training are convincing me that he's brining his A game, which to me represents all the qualities every recent Vitali opponent has lacked (except for chin as it hasn't been tested yet).
