    When Vitali Beats Solis........

does he get credit for beating a good fighter or is it another bum that didn't belong in the ring with him? Does this all have to do with Solis' weight? Let's say he comes into the fight weighing less than Vitali will that be considered as A Solis that is somewhat in shape. Afterall..this would mean a 20-25 lb decrease from his last fight. Solis is a very talented boxer regardless of his weight. He's got pure boxing skills & has the best boxing IQ outside of the Klitschko brothers. What say you?

Truthfully, not many really care what the K brothers do unless they fight Haye or eachother.

As evident by replies to this thread. No disrespect.

meh, he didnt look good at all against Ray Austin. he totally gassed midfight. If that happened against Austin of all people, I shudder to think what will happen when hes in the ring with Vitali.

Id say hes a more legitimate opponent than Kevin Johnson and Briggs, but I dont expect much out of him at all against Vitali.

He is not gonna beat Solis. The HW King arrived from Cuba and going to get back that title, which was given to Vitali just to keep.

Decent win for Vitali a few months before his 40th birthday, slightly tarnished by Solis' abysmal performance in the Austin fight.

I don't think you can gauge Solis by what he did against Austin. He did beaT him handily & Austin was a little sloppy.

I think he's going to be carrying less weight & much more motivated for the title & eager to show what he got. We will know in the first minute if he retreats into his shell once he gets hit with the iron fists. If he still keeps coming forward & doesn't get discouraged we'll have a fight. In a way he's kind of like Areolla with defense & when he lets his hands go,,, he's a little wild but seems to always comes forward.. perhaps we'll see the same gameplan Vitali used against Arreola & that is to let Solis just walk into his fists.

                  I hope youre right.

I just dont see Solis being in that great of shape or even puttng on as much pressure as Oreola did.

Speaking of Kevin Johnson... if Solis had Johnson's defensive skills to avoid incoming..then Vitali will be in a war.. As Solis does have great offense & a high guard. Combining the defense of Johnson & the offense of Solis will be the most difficult fight for Vitali to be in.... although vitali would find a way for the inevitable beatdown.
