Did you not watch the post-fight interview with Martinez? He went hard, stepped off and then took the fight away from Pavlik - that was the gameplan all along.

Your right, I do remember Martinez saying that, me, I don't buy that though. I think he got tired, then got his 2nd wind. That or he's a very good actor, because he looked VERY vulnerable in the middle rounds, even lookin' at his face he seem to have lost confidence. It was in the 9th round where everything seemed to change, I'm gonna rewatch that later today.

You don't give Froch enough credit he is slick maybe not as slick as Martinez but slick enough to beat Pav..Not to mention Froch is a strong puncher..He beats Johnson by the way..

I had Froch beating Kessler, and Kessler to me is an all around better boxer than Pavlik, maybe he doesn't hit as hard but still. I know they're not the same, but it's one of the few reasons why I can't see Pavlik doing much. Even then I don't think Pavlik is just gonna stand there and do nothing, much like AA, he'll put in a good effort.

Pavlik would have ZERO chance against Froch. Pavlik is a washed up bum and Froch is top 5 P4P so it don't take a rocket scientist to figure this **** out.

FROCH is tough but he is not a good boxer;he beat easy AA because his style,if you watch his fights vs DIRRELL and KESSLER you can see huge limits;ANDRE WARD will embarass him hitting him from everywhere in the final;obviously FROCH will win over GLEN by a controversal decision like ever in GLEN's carrer;anyway PAVLIK if he's not mentally prepared in a fight he is beatable from so many fighters in supermiddleweight division!

LOL Froch a top 5 pound for pounder?! haha come on, i like froch as much as the next real boxing fan, but the man is way too limited in his skillset to ever be a top 5 pound for pounder. MAYBE, he is like 10-15th. you could make an argument somewhere in there. but i agree, ward will expose him once again - make him look awkward and clumbsy. he will be hitting air.

im not hating on froch or down playing him as a fighter - he truly does do what i wish all fighters did - fight the best. Froch DOES have the best, and strongest resume of all boxers over the past 1-3 years. Still very limited. Dirrell would KO him if they fought again.

Im not sure about Pavlik/Froch. Pavlik has a better jab and straight. and is more technically sound. froch has slight power edge, and slight edge in chin.

Pavlik will turn out to be a journeyman at 168, Ward, Kessler, Froch, Bute even AA all beat him.

and to the guy that says Martinez is stronger that Froch? seriously a guy who started his career at 147 is stronger that a natural 168lbs fighter with proven heavy hands and a great chin? You say your a Pavlik fan who are you trying to convince with stuff like that us or yourself? i feel it must be the latter.

Pavlik is not beating Froch, bottom line, He's been exposed already and now has more problems than Charlie Sheen eloping to Columbia. DeGale whoops Pavlik, so Froch dismantles him.

Froch beats pavlik but it's not a walk in the park. That being said it really doesn't matter because froch will lose to ward and exit from 168.
