And we dont know if this is gonna be his biggest payday yet. We dont know what the split is or what other incentive based entitlements there are within the contracts. They might be giving Shane a 65/35 or less, with barely anything in regards to sponsors and gate rev. So before we say Shane's getting the biggest payday of his life, lets see the specifics of the agreed upon deal between Shane and Pac.

Mosley did what any other smart-seasoned vet would do. He handled his business himself and because of that he will probably pick-up his biggest payday to-date. Good for you Mosley. I think that's the smartest move you've made. That one came right out of "THE BOOK OF MAYWEATHER" Lil Floyd don't take wooden nickles and Mosley shouldn't either. I'm just saying.....

This is business first, remember how promoters think
Mosley, I'm so proud of you for handling your business. It's about security and family first. GB paid you what they thought you were worth in the end. They screwed you now bend them back over and get yours. If I were you I would call Gay la Hoya out again. Beat him up for a fourth time, just for the record and a check.

GBP tossed Mosley aside and then completely outpriced JMM as well. Mosley has made some dumb decisions in the past (like turning down $11 million for an ODLH rubber match and accepting $4 million to fight Winky Wright who went on to school him in that first fight) but I think he made the best business decision for himself this time...
but back to mosely, they told him no because realistically there was no way arum was gonna give him the fight. they cant make miracles happen. so yea he left. but he was not at all screwed.

Why are people blaming GBP for Mosley's career being not where it is supposed to be? Shane made all the decisions himself. Shane had a good run with them. Shane just wasn't as business savvy as the rest of the top fighters in the sport. Mosley had it! Shane is just on a fighter vibe and not a business one.

Mosley had a career before and with Golden Boy that any active, young fighter/boxer in the sport coming up, only dreams of having. Shane just didn't have the best business sense to capitalize off of his momentum. At the end of the day, both sides should not be bitter because both got what they wanted out of the deal. Sometimes in life, it is time to move on.
