Exactly. Just look at Marquez. He's looking to do the same thing (and I'm 80% sure that Pacquaio-Marquez III happens in November 2011). But at the same time Mosley has some good opportunities under Top Rank, such as the winner of Cotto-Margarito. And believe it or not, I can also see him getting thrown at JCC Jr.Comment

GBP is really getting screwed. Everyone is jumping ship to Top Rank. This is all because of GBP jumping on the FMJ wagon during the first negotiations. They joined the Mayweather camp in the steroid accusations which realy severed relations between the to powerhouse promotions. Where is Floyd now? Anyway, GBP has the right to match any offers to JMM to ensure JMM stays with GBP. But how can you match an offer to fight Pac if GBP can't get Pac? Only TR can give that offer so that is an offer that can't be matched. The saga continues...Comment

This makes no sense. The first news I ever read about this was Mosley going on record saying he's a promotional free agent but that he's still in GBP. Basically welcoming Bob Arum to sign him, to fight Pacquiao without GBP getting any of the shares. To me it sounded like he anted to be kicked out. Cause why would you do that in the first place?Comment

Actually the severance pay was just a few thousand cause most of it probably went to his ex-wife/manager Jin. Poor Shane's getting ****ed every which way.
Which is probably why he keeps looking for big money fights. I would have thought Mosley would have been set by now. Divorce sucks.Comment

loyalty to the same company that left him stranded over a year after the biggest win in the twilight of his career? you've got to be kiddingComment

I think you may have a point. Shane has never been a savvy business guy. He beat Hoya twice and still wound up working for Oscar. Shane had his wife as his business manager? Shane is just a guy who loves to fight and not really a political person.Comment

Mosley was waiting around for Pacquiao or Mayweather that's why he was off for a year.
Looking at the business side Mosley deserved to get kicked out. GBP was going all in on trying to get Pacquiao/Marquez III going but Mosley went behind there backs and stole the fight from them.
I'm sure Mosley whored himself out for pennies just to get the fight and GBP was looking to hit gold with PPV and all the revenue Pacquiao/Marquez was going to bring in.Comment
