Not only would Pacquiao beat Hearns he would destroy him like Cotto or Margarito. Pacquiaos forte is against taller fighters who like to throw the jab so Pac can slip the jab and counter with a blinding fast and powerful combination to the head and body..

And while Hearns isn't slow per se he would still look like molasses against Pacquiaos handspeed and footspeed. He would be open to the body and uppercuts for the entire fight and if Pac really tried he would KTFO outta Hearn.

Hearns would outbox everybody else on your list fairly easy.

now tommy used his height well when he jabbed---that would have to be his money punch on floyd, seeing how that's the punch floyd has had the most trouble with in his career--but floyd would counter tommy at will off of the shoulder roll--not just using it and not punching back--
Floyd's pull counter and Shoulder roll wouldnt work against Hearns because Hearn's arm reach is way longer than Floyds. Floyd can't box on the inside and can't out brawl Hearns.

        Hearns would destroy Gayweather easily.

The only Welterweight in the last thirty plus years who could have beaten Hearns was Ray Leonard.

As i said before Hearns is taylor made for Trinidad and Margarito. Hearns chin is just a walking timebomb and its impossible to go an entire fight without getting nailed by Tito and Margarito

I think Whitaker makes things interesting and I'd doubt he would get knocked out unless met with the right hand thrown against Duran. All-time throw in Basillio, Robinson, Burley, Walker, I think Napoles would atleast give a good account of himself, I wish there was footage of Walcott to make a prediction in that ridiculous match-up.

I said last 30 years very specifically. It's era dependent beyond that. He dominates the 30s (including Armstrong who would have need a ladder); Walker would have been a bull to deal with just before.

I don't think Pea does anything with Tommy but lose respectably. I also doubt the knock out.

Margarito is an accumulation puncher and he's not getting past Hearns' jab often enough to score the stoppage (the glass in Tommy's chin has been greatly exaggerated.) Given Tony's porous defense (and Tommy's monstrous right hand) however, the opposite is not the case.

                    Good post.

Saying Hearns' style is tailor made for Margarito is really puzzling. It's pretty much the exact opposite.

I can't see any other result than Hearns stopping Margarito.

I agree I don't think Pea would win either but he'd certainly make it difficult, 15 rounds are crucial for Hearns, its no coincidence that all the fighters I picked are strong 15 round fighters.
