Haye never "gave it up" SKY took that May 21 date away from Haye and gave it to Frank Warren!

RTL has March 19, April 30 and July 2 for the Klitschkos.

SKY had no dates in April, May, and June for Haye (and perhaps not in July either, we'll see how it conflicts with the more popular Amir Khan's big fight with Bradley).

Let's not forget, Haye couldn't get the promised venue for the proposed fight wth Wlad in June 2009, but Wlad had no problem in getting a football stadium in Germany.

It's only in your infatuated mind, Mr. Blobby, that Haye is a big boxing star.

Haye's only other option (because of the lack of PPV TV dates) would be to wait until July 2 to fight Chagaev or Povetkin.

That makes no sense. The only reason that makes sense to me for Sky to have pulled the May date away from Haye was because they wanted to force him to fight a Klitschko. And if that was their reason, they wouldn't want to cover a July fight with Chagaev or Povetkin.

He should have taken that bJuly 02 from the beginning, there is nothing wrong with that date.

Other UK fighters are more popular than Haye. He's let his fans down too many times. He's not as important as Khan, Froch and others are.

Froch is not a big draw in the UK.

Yes, a fight with the lesser known Chagaev or Povetkin would not be as profitable for SKY. They are probably pushing Haye to have the big fight with Wlad before he retires.

update: SKY just announced Chagaev has been officially turned down by the BBB of C.

Haye-Wlad would break all box office records because of who he would be fighting, and because of the historical importance of that fight should he win. But Haye-Chagaev or Haye-Povetkin would bomb at the box office. After the Harrison debacle no one is interested in seeing him in meaningless fights any more, and that's why Sky have forced him to go back to the negotiating table with Wlad. Haye needs to fight a Klitschko in order to remain popular. He is not popular in his own right.

I think the only way Haye can get attention now is by throwing Klitschko's name into a sentence or two. It's kinda like Mayweather cant be in a sentence without Pacqiuao, only Mayweather isn't trying to stay relevant, Haye is. Haye wants to go out with a splash, but it's not happening.
