Being a true boxing fan you should know full well the stats youre mentioning are almost irrelevant to scoring rounds especially when the amount of punches landed are that close.

the rounds end up getting scored based on other factors like agressiveness, ring generalship, who landed the cleaner and/or harder punches.

If the more accurate guy makes the other miss like Sweet Pea then I'll give it to the more accurate guy. But if the guy blocks punches like Clottey then I'll give it to the 100 out of 1000 guy.

In the pros the judges are not punch counters as in the amatuers. Aggression is always good as is punch quantity but in the end the look at who inflicted more damage and who controlled the round.

If a fighter is staggered in a round and has to cover up it is costly. If a guy pity-pats through the round landing far more blows the round could easily be stolen by a last 20 sec barrage of good, clean and hard shots.

Many judges view fights in different ways. Thats why we have some varying opinions at the end of a good scrap.

It would depend on the rounds the punches were landed in.

X could land more punches than Y throughout the fight but Y could outpunch X is more rounds.

Some of it would depend on where the punches land too, I don't exactly rate blocked shots but at the sametime I don't see it as irrelevant as you could essentially keep your opponent in a shell which essentially dictates the pace of the fight.

To simplify things, it is not straight forward.
