The Pac of today doesn't throw more punches than he did before. He throws better punches and has better footwork, but to claim that just because he throws more punches than someone else, that means they can't outwork him, is just ******. So Bernstein's analysis is just ******.

And comparing the defensive skills of Hatton, and of a weight drained De La Hoya, with Mayweather, is even more ******.

You are clearly just a nuthugger, as your analysis is idiotic.

of course you can open up like that against a great counter puncher, especially if that counter puncher doesn't have great power.
Lol @ comparing Cotto and Margacheato to Floyd.

We already saw what happened to Poochiao when he opened up against a great counter puncher. Only idiots think Floyd doesn't have great power. His power is underrated. If Floyd doesn't have great power, why was Mosley afraid to open up and throw punches? You're not going to keep opening up against a fighter who is hurting you and is countering you every time you make a mistake.

LOL @ Pac throwing 1000 punches against Floyd. When was the last time a boxer threw his average number of punches against Floyd? Manny's work rate will be cut down by at least 50%.

It's also how Jirov was destroyed by Toney. It's also how Pascal lost to Hopkins on most people's cards. It's also how Calzaghe was losing to Hopkins until the old man tired.

And it wasn't the punches PWill threw that won him that fight, it was the punches he landed cleanly. And landing punches cleanly on an old Winky is far easier than landing cleanly on Floyd, especially as Winky didn't manage to land any counter-punches to speak of, whereas Floyd is the best counter-puncher in the business.

But you don't need 1,000 punches to make chicken soup, do you?

Fights are won first by going up in the ring and landing punches...al b might be counting on pbf running most of the time than engaging pac on a toe to toe...if pbf ever had the guts to be with pac in d ring...

Didn't expect this thread to have this much views. I guess Bernstein's opinion really matters. This is a guy who said Andre Ward's fighting style reminds him of Sugar Ray Leonard.

Yep. You can't box with a great boxer like floyd.
