But i dont see why it is anymore devastating then a right hook
PROPERLY delivered it is the culmination of a combination of left Jab, Right cross and left hook, eack punch successfully delivered putting the fighter in perfect position and balance to deliver.

There are loads of "left hooks" thrown and connecting but most being wrongly thrown and basically "arm sweeps", so just punches.

ALSO, and mainly, it is generally unexpected and unseen, thus making it even more a REAL FINISHER.

I disagree, the uppercut is more of a trick punch, not very effective unless your opponent is already finished or fighting way too square.

The left hook is ALWAYS effective

The left hook is a very dangerous punch it is also called the clean up punch and if time and thrown right it could be lethal. But the most dangerous punch has to be the uppercut when thrown from mid-range or inside.

Any well thrown punch using technique and force can be devastating specially if it comes when ur opponent is coming foward using his own weight or when he doesn't see it coming. It's all relatively anyway, but the left/right hook thrown by a fighter's natural stance is pretty powerful.
