again..
"...history has shown Arum bringing in the most money to HBO since its inception. There is a reason that heads will roll at HBO sports.. you can count on it. Arum brings in $$$$ and that's the bottom line in any business."
But at the end of the day.. I could care less. We get more fights and networks fighting for viewers which means possibly better fights for us fans.Comment

I agree with the bold..Arum is pretty dull and Don King has more charisma and is more of a sociable type. However, don't confuse a promoters ability to promote vs. his/her personality. Arum is a GREAT promoter and knows how to build his fighters and put on some great fights while bringing in $$$$$. I don't like the senile old man.. but history proves this and there is a big reason why (though I may not like some of them) he's still putting on big fights to this day .Comment

In terms of showing the best fights on a consistent basis is Showtime>HBO. It's not even debatable.
I mean yea sure you can go the Bob Arum route, which seems is what MIC is doing, and say fuck the hardcore is all about the casual fans.
But, I'm a hardcore fan and I want to see the best possible fights happen. I don't care about production or lighting or whatever nonsense. I don't care if it's on HBO, Showtime, or a shitty stream. If it's the best possible fight then I am interested and is a big fight to me.
All the other BS is for the casual fans. But, if you want to speak for the casual fans then don't complain about Arum doing what he's doing because he's doing it for the casual fans. Not the hardcore fans.
