I see what you're saying mate. Appreciate it.

I'm just sayin' in my behalf I don't care about the rankings coz for me it's mythical.

Those peeps who have a prob about the P4P rankings are because they're butthurt their fighter's not where they think they should be ranked.

Okay, okay, wait a damn second with that there. A little bit of overreaction.

Donaire deserves that spot for beating fighters on top of thier game (Darc and Montiel).

Martinez got overrated because a win over an overrated Paul Williams. Plus Pavlik was on a downhill after being exposed by bhop and taylor, drinking problems and a broken hand. We cant really tell how good he is until he beats someone like froch, kessler, bute- fighters that are solid or on top of their game.

He does belong in Top 5

So was Willie Pep. But the P4P is not an ATG list, it's a list based on recent activity in the ring. And one fight in 12 months, 2 fights in 2 years doesn't cut it, especially as both opponents were way past their primes and one of them was way out of his weight class.

And Donaire was ranked #5 P4P before he fought Montiel. If you really think that beating Montiel so decisively doesn't even warrant moving up a single place then you are seriously underrating Montiel.

Donaire is top 5 for sure. Mayweather #1, Pac #2, Martinez #3.
The highest ranking Martinez has ever had in any of the credible P4P rankings was #3. And Donaire was ranked #5 before he fought Montiel.

Montiel and Darchinyan both have better resumes than Pavlik or Williams. It's hard to see how anyone can justify Martinez above Donaire at this point. And Mayweather has effectively retired again, at least for the time being, maybe forever, no one knows, but he is certainly not an active fighter, so it's hard to even justify his #3 slot, never mind #1.

No way should they have put Donaire over Martinez.
