what do you expect? the guy started his boxing career in the US so nobody really in the Philippines saw him fight (before darchinyan) as his fights were not shown on Philippine TV. so right after he ko'ed darchinyan he spoke about the Filipino fans...that's his way of saying "hey i'm a Filipino too and i'm fighting for you guys". for sure the Filipino fans were happy to hear that and they embraced him. tim lincecum was only half-filipino and he's big in the Philippines how much more of donaire. how can speak you about people from a place you're not familiar with? you're just being you...a moron.

pac is more famous in philippines BECAUSE HE IS MORE FAMOUS.

has nothing to do with donaire because filipino-american.

pac is the most famous boxer ever in philippines. donaire can't match that even if he had never moved to america.

most if not all of donaire's fights were in the united states pre-darchinyan.

doubt many were even televised there.

now he's had more press , now his fights have been televised there , now he's had fights in philippines post-darchinyan.

he has grown his fanbase in philippines.

ts doesn't know what he's talking about.

he just thinks "oh i read mexicans don't like mexican-american fighters so maybe it's the same way with filipinos and filipino-american fighters."

that'd be my guess to where he came up with his conclusions.

Nonito having no tattoos means a lot to me. Means he is pure like myself. I plan on tanning myself so I can be more like my idol.

              i've read 12-13.

              who knows?

what does it matter how long you live in a place?

depends on how you grow up and how you are raised.

there's some damn immigrants living in the u.s. for 30 years and still don't know how to fucking speak english.

Don't count on it. Maybe he's clean now but they usually do get one someday.

Yep, what matters is that the boxer calls himself "The Filipino Flash" - he's proud of his Filipino Blood. He might be 2nd to Pac but I don't really give a damn.
