That's because there was a reward with Montiel fight...

There is way more money in a Montiel fight than a Moreno fight...

Montiel is somewhat known, been on HBO, been on PPV's, has the whole Mexican fan base...He brings other things to the tables besides just risk. Moreno is not as lucky.

He brings no money to the table, no fan base, has a title, but that is it, he just brings more risk than anything.

And, I'm pretty sure Donaire would fight Moreno but we all know top rank won't make it happen. They to not do fights where the risk out weighs the reward. Their history proves it.

Sadly, that's the state of boxing we have right now. I remember the days where most of the time, you have only one shot at the belt and you have to make the most of it. Money usually comes flowing in when you have the strap, not today. Arum just ****s on these ABC belts and entices his boxers by dangling the Benjamins to their faces...

Two wins over Sydorenko in which he was in the top 5 for both fights, 7 Title defneses and has been considered the #2 in the divison since 2007. Plus a clear skill set.

Yeah its sucks but he got caught with a perfect punch in the temple had it landed in another place montiel might of been able to take the shot like he had the previous shots. But montiel should great heart in getting up like a champ even though he just had a small seizure. Had he hugged he might of even gotten out of the round.

Montiel never saw that counter left hook, it was just too fast to see.

doubt? why? the guy is fast,good counterpucher and is strong,why would anyone doubt a guy like that?like i said here,he's just so big and strong,i think he'll ko mares easily,mares is just like montiel in size,moreno is taller but not bigger in size,body,donaire to me beats any of these guys and ko's all of them

I don't doubt that he can beat Agbeko or Moreno...He could very well beat them. I doubt he could KO them...One Agbeko chin is freakin amazing and he's a pretty strong and durable guy. Also he's very awkward and can make it ugly as well. Moreno is a pretty big bantamweight as well he's quickly outgrowing the bantamweight division. He like Donaire had balloned up the 140's, not only that he has damn good skills, great ring generalship, good chin, very slick, good reflexes. It would be a tough guy to KO.

So yes I doubt that Donaire would KO either guy. Again I think he could very well beat either guy. I would even make Donaire the favorite over both. But, I don't think he would KO or even have an easy time with either guy. I also think Moreno could very well beat Donaire as well. But, that might be my bias talking since I'm a very big Moreno fan.
