The only way to not be frustrated about BS boxing

I'm telling you MMA is winning over big time. The only way to even stand boxing is looking up who's fighting THIS week, not caring about BS hype and fantasy fights, hope for a worthy fight in the weekend and that's it. If you want to get hype about fights MMA is the way to go because those guys ARE ALREADY UNDER CONTRACT before they fight.

I can dig it,I'm getting real tired of boxing too.I'm even thinking about cutting showtime & hbo,the only reason I pay for them is for boxing.Because I have netflix & boxing is filled with sooo much bull****,the need for having them isn't making any sense anymore.

We see guys being hyped up for no reason and then we see MMA ATG fighters fighting in a NON PPV UFC event along with a more than decent card! Last UFC event Kid Yamamotto wasn't even televised!!! In boxing terms Kid Yamamotto would definitely be PPV. People like that dancing kid UZZI wouldn't even be in the sport. It's a no brainer most of the time. Boxing can't keep afloat with 1-2 decent card a year, it just can't.

And i think the problem is most boxing fans will be content with very little! They will help someone with no proven value whatsoever get hype and milked by their promoters. I think fighters should get paid less and fight ALLOT more times a year.

Lets compare Jon Jones, one of MMA's fastest raising star with somone like Chavez Junior or even Bradley (even though you might think Bradley isn't doing so bad, he is actually). Jones in 3 years already was tested and proved legit. He's now fighting the champion! No tune ups, no padding the record, see the difference? Who the hell is good in boxing? How many real tests do these guys get a year? That kid Pirov, the one who beat the American prospect, where is he now?! Why so many fighters think they can raise a little buzz and disappear and comeback with 20 more wins vs unknown people and nearly out of their primes. Some fighters waste their prime years PADDING THEIR RECORDS!

And you know why they do it? Because they want to land that 30 million dollar pay day and cash out. Everyone seems to be working for a big fight. And for the shows they put together they are hugely overpaid.

I agree fighters should fight a lil more esp young fighters..But I just can't get into MMA like that..Just to much grabing and tussling going on..At times I can watch it but just fully can't get into it..But you right about boxing, but I think boxing is trying to get everybody to fight each other now..Look at the Jr WW and the SMW div even the lower weights are fighting each other..Boxing is trying..

Ignorant. Underestimate MMA and you'll soon be the one guy out of all of your friends who still likes boxing.

The reason why MMA is the fastest growing sports today is simple: Real fights aren't generally fist fights, they resemble allot more MMA fights, hence people draw to that. Also the match ups being put together are GREAT VALUE. If you think MMA is gay you are missing out on the equivalent to Tyson fighting on free TV every month against worthy opposition.
