C'mon. Nobody really expects Shane to pull off the upset of the decade now, do ya? What are the odds?

Mosley is not shot, I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. I would say he's old and past prime definitely. 39 in boxing is old.

Most really good fighters are done by age 34-35. Fighting over that age, we usually see them just getting badly hurt. Jones was completely done in the 1st Tarver fight and he some how had the energy to win, I believe he was 35 in that fight, then he kept fighting and look what has happened to him. Chavez Sr., it depends when you think he was done, a lot of people will say he was done when DLH stopped him but you look at his resume he was stopping everyone before the DLH fight and then after the DLH fight he also won every fight until the rematch with DLH. He was 32 when he first lost to DLH. I would say he was maybe past prime, or just not at his best to beat DLH. 32 is a pretty young age to become past prime but with over 100 fights[most of the beginning ones being against JCC Jr type opponents] I can understand a fighter being past it in his early 30s.

Hopkins, Vitali Klitschko, and Mosley are just some of the few exceptions of good active fighters who can fight over 35 and still put up a fight with the top guys. Hopkins is 46 though so he's on another level.

Those fighters also use the jab to keep opponents away like Floyd also, Manny doesn't do that so it could make a big difference and give him opportunities.

            The Roided Mosely too.

Heck Cotto beat easily Mosely until he ran.

I agree that Mora was bigger and has an awkward style, but no matter how difficult someone's style is, if they are B-level and you're one of the best boxers in the world, then you should be able to beat them clearly.

Plus, Mora was selected by Mosley (or by his advisors at least) as an opponent to make Shane look good after the Floyd fight. It's a bit weak to hand pick someone to make you look good and then complain afterwards that they're a bad style matchup.

Shane hasn't won a fight in two years and is coming off of a draw with someone who is not world class and a loss against a great fighter where he only won one round. I don't think you can put 100% of that down to styles.

I actually scored that fight a Draw.

It was at MSG though where it is known that Cotto gets close fights in his favor[Clottey, Mosley]. The beggining of the fight was very close, with both fighters catching eachother with clean shots. The mid rounds was Cotto's, the last 4 rounds was just Cotto running and Mosley being the aggressor.

If the fight was in a neutral venue, I think it would have been at least closer on the scorecards or a Draw.

                  mosley sucks against defensive boxers.

forrest was a very balanced boxer he did everything good including defense. winky is a defensive peekaboo specialist.

                  mora is a potshotter/runner.

                  wifebeater is a defensive genius.

even cotto can be slippery when he wants to be and when he isn't pressured relentlessly.

I'm not saying mosley is gonna beat pac, I'm just saying that against less defensively adept boxers, mosley has alway done well.

Did not expect you to call Mayweather a genius. You have been surprising me recently.
