Are people forgetting Mosley got shut out vs Winky and Forrest too?

So why is he shot just after losing to Mayweather in a dominant fashion?

It's not just the performance against Mayweather, it's also the Mora fight.

Just because someone has upset the odds once, doesn't mean we should expect them to do so again. A lot of the time, when a boxer is a big underdog, there's a reason for it and they end up losing the fight.

In most instances, when a boxer in his late 30s appears to be past his best, it's because he is past his best.

Mosley always struggled with tall fighters though, so I don't know if Wright/Forrest/Mora has anything to do with pacquiao.

              He's old though, no question.

Mosley was never a fighter that used his head that much.

you can bring up his previous loses sure but you can't deny his old age. don't talk as if fighters don't lose a step or two as they grow older...i thought that's a pretty common knowledge in boxing

I suppose people felt that he proved otherwise by beating a shot Vargas, Mayorga, and TKO'ing Margarito, who at the time was still somewhat feared, after losing those fights. Winky was still the man at that point, and they chalked it up to styles. But you're right, he did look like crap against Mayorga, and couple that w/ Mayweather & Mora fights, he can't pull the trigger anymore. Mora losing to Vera doesn't help Mosley's case, either.
