A lot of fighters on Wlad's resume would beat the current Povetkin.

I agree that Chambers would beat the regressing Povetkin in a rematch.

I love the punch stats : Chambers landed 61% (!!!!!!) of his power punches on Povetkin. It's crystal clear Chambers should have won that fight hadn't he been so passive.

I was responding to Steelspammer who brought up Haye's Amateur match with Solis. So whats wrong with bringing up an actual Pro-fight?

Wouldn't surprise me. Chambers was hitting the ginger tabby with practically every punch he threw, hard shots as well. Had he been in better condition he would have won, and unlike the majority of cases where this is simply used as an excuse by the losing opponent and his supporters to feel better about themselves, in this case it's extremely true and I doubt you'd find too many people to argue otherwise.

I wasn't aware of that. In any case, if you dismiss the Byrd victory as being too long ago then you need to dismiss the Purrity loss as well. Or accept them both together.

Whoops, sorry! Again though, not really surprising. What was surprising was how many of Vit's shots Corrie was able to absorb without going down. Vit's punching power is a little overrated, but it's still astounding that Corrie took so many flush, flush shots and was still on his feet when the ref stopped it.
