I like your point a lot, M. Hatton isn't a jr. middleweight by any means, I don't think he's ever thought in that weight class (correct me if I'm wrong) but this seems like an easy opportunity for him to get world title success. As a Canelo fan I'm very disappointed he has to fight a welterweight for this belt. I seriously hope he defends (assuming he wins) this belt against Rhodes or Angulo. As for him being a paper champion just wait until he defends the title, if he defends it against sh**ty opponents then can you call him that. But so far this is not good for Canelo's image.
Don't get me wrong, I'd support Hatton but let's be fair, he's not close to Alvarez, he's stepping into a league above what he can handle (as his brother did on many occasions, who knows how he beat some of the opponents he faced) so maybe this will bring the best out of Hatton. It's not a write off by any means, but you'd expect Canelo to win this with relative ease.
I just want to see a good fight and Hatton to give it his all! It's a great opportunity for him as well even if it isn't in his weight class; and morally I don't agree on him fighting for a jr. mid as a welterweight. BUT it's an offer he can't refuse and offers him the chance to get onto the world stage.
And no matter who wins, Rhodes should be the mandatory for either.Comment

It's a joke if this isn't on Sky, Hatton deserves some credit because he is half decent and has worked his ass off to beat some good European opposition. He does deserve a shot at an alphabet title regardless of other peoples opinions but more than that, he deserves some support.
He's been underlooked because of his brothers success and although I don't see him winning this fight, at minimum it deserves coverage in the UK.Comment
