I didn't know blacks could fight. What gives you the impression that white fighters weren't better than black fighters back then. It's alright, you were probably brainwashed by Ross Greenburg of HBO to believe that blacks are athletically superior than whites. Ross Greenburg is ***ish and wants all whites to bow to blacks.

Dempsey admitted he feared Langford, The claim that he refused to face certain fighters because they were black is not really true. He agreed to fight Wills(a black contender who was by far the best HW of his era that he failed to fight) but the powers that be stopped the fight from going ahead as they did not want the chance of another JJ, though IMO and its certainly debatable, Dempsey deserves some criticism for declaring that he would never face Wills, after Wills tried to block his fight with Firpo. Dempsey did not fight blacks(well only two at the beginning of his career) but don't get it twisted, he has also drawn considerable criticism for not fighting Greb who was white.

Dempsey fought blacks as well, so it shows you know little to nothing about boxing. Jack was the most vicious and EXCITING fighters in the world regardless of race.

I actually agree with Steelhammer, despite all my talk about past fighters being as good as todays.

Dempsey is simply overrated. he never beat Harry Wills nor Langford, Wills in particular was the best guy in the division for years and Dempsey never fought him...although to be fair Wladimir never fought his brother...but thats a different situation.
also Willard was coming off a 3+ year long layoff. Fulton was a better win over a big guy for Dempsey.

I see Wladimir going down. but I see him getting up, and peppering Dempsey as he tries to fight his way in, winning a decision. People underrate Wlads heart.

example: Duane Bobick(a white American) who was a gold medalist and amateur champ. all the best Eastern European boxers were all in the amateurs, right? but Bobick still beat them all, plus Teofilo Stevenson

Jack Dempsey is not a featherfist or a fatass like 90% of Wlad's opponents. Who on Wlad's resume' had the POWER/speed combination that Dempsey has?

The Purrity fight was 13 YEARS AGO you moron. That's like bringing up Pacquiao's KO losses. It's totally irrelevant.

Wlad was only 21, only weighed 225 lbs and had never gone past 6 rounds, it was his 25th fight in 25 months....He dominated the fight and beat the shit out of Purrity for 11 rounds, but he punched himself out in the process, ran out of gas and collapsed from exhaustion. By the way, Vitali destroyed Purrity.

Wlad's chin is underrated, he hasn't been down or hurt in 6 years. he has never been KO'd, only TKO'd, he always has the heart to get up and continue fighting, unlike Joey***z hero Lennox Lewis, who got KTFO twice and failed to beat the counts.

Sanders wasnt really that kind of a fighter, actually.

I just dont think much of Dempsey as others do. I dont think hes going to effectively walk through someone like Wladimir, Fred Fulton isnt no Wladimir Klitschko. people **** on Wlad a lot, but the mans power is no joke, even if he is tentative.
and Wlad is better since the Sanders fight.
