I think Ward should be fighting in other countries. especially when he fights Froch. cant call yourself a world champ if youre not fighting around the world(well you can but still...)

up to this point however Ward's fighting location had nothing to do with his victories.

Yes. People will never forget he was given the home advantage in every fight.

And they'll remember the behavior of referee Jack Reiss in the Kessler fight too.

I agree...Ward wouldn't want to sink so low as to be just another Kessler, Calzaghe, Ottke, Bute, Abraham, Huck, Sylvester, Sturm, Stieglitz,etc...you conveniently forgot that all of those fighters have done the same, only had more defenses than Ward at home! lmao

If Oakland used Cortez for Wards fights, his home advantage would be a non-issue.

Like he did in the Olympics?

Ward is worse, because he was in a tournament where everyone is supposed to be treated equally, yet he had an advantage over the other fighters.

And unlike those you mention, Ward didn't even have a world title, yet was given the privilege of fighting the titleholder at home.

Oh, by the way, Joe Calzaghe defended his titles in Germany, Scotland, Denmark, England, and twice in the US.

Abraham came to the US to fight in the Super Six, and went to Finland to fight Froch.

Ward has fought in St. Lucia and the Cayman Islands.

The fight should always be where it can make the most money, if that is Oakland then the fights should be in Oakland

lol- Calzaghe never defended his SMW titles in the States. He fought Bernard for the LHW and defended it against Roy Jones AFTER he abandoned his SMW belts-one which Froch owns! The only time he left the UK when he was SMW was when he fought "legends" such as Mario Veit and Will McIntyre!!!! In other words, when there was absolutely NO risk facing an over matched opponent.Ironically this is the only guy (Mario Veit)who he gave a rematch, even though Hopkins and Robin Reid deserved one far more than this bum..On quite a few occasions his refs had stopped fights via tko when his opponents weren't even hurt-he was the Ottke of Wales in this regard(albeit more skilled, but never had guts)!

Abraham had defended his MW belt on nearly every occasion in Germany (excluding the second Miranda fight).

Huck,,Sturm,Sylvester,Stieglitz,Ottke ALL stay/ed at home defending their belts where they are/were given opponents in their own hometowns-let's not start about the B.S. judges and refs that were involved in Ottke's fights...at least Ward is fighting legit opponents (especially his last several ones).

The only advantage Ward has over the other guys is skills and smarts...it's up to them to find a way to beat him. What you are essentially saying is,it was ok for the prior mentioned "champs" to stay at home themselves...so long as they are not in a tournament.Do you understand how petty this sounds? Why weren't you raising a fit when Ward was to have three fights at home from the very beginning?
