If you take all the fanboy hate and/or sycophantic love and just look at it objectively... you have to admit that the writer has an excellent point. Floyd abandoned the sport when he should have been carrying it and as nice as an undefeated record is- doesn't feel like he completely lived up to his talent. If he's not hurt/injured (maybe he is but is keeping it secret) there is no excuse for the constant vacations and faux retirements.
It'll be a sad day when all of his physical gifts have deteriorated but he has no choice but to fight for paychecks. All signs point to that happening down the line.
it was a very well written & thought out article. floyd's reign as p4p king was probably the worst in the history of the sport.
