Boxing is so played out and boring these days

And, Shadows has been following Ioka. He told me about Ioka when Ioka only had around 3 pro fights.
Shadows is the man. Very underrated knowledgeable poster. He's one of the top 10 posters on these forums.Comment

Plenty going on, dunno why you are so down...
Unless you're hardcore like us......people just don't know one boxer you listed above, how many Americans are listed above would the media give fans a reason to be excited about? no cruiserweights or heavys to give the USA a reason to get excited is the reason boxing is down to the average sportsfan in USA. I'm sure in Poland Boxing is the ****, look who they got. UK, Ukraine, Phillipines, Mexico, etc....I tell my friends that say "boxing is dead" to come to this site & then tell me it's dead. from what I see.....it's big everywhere except the USA unless you're hardcoreComment

I feel where you're coming from, too much drama and boxing has become a complete business rather than a sport. The big boxers are overpaid and are sitting fat fighting 2 or 3 fights a year, at times refusing to partake in competitive fights. Compare that to the UFC where a huge fight like Rua/Jones was announced in mere minutes and look at their top dog Silva making around 250k per fight.
Boxing is still the best sport in the world to me and it will always be that way, but I can't deny all the BS that goes on.Comment

so basically boxing=Floyd and Pac. I see.
people need to respect guys that arent as well known but are still in the top 15 in their weight class. Even lowly ranked guys are still some of the best boxers in the world, and fans need to look deeper than names and realise how difficult and advanced boxing really is.Comment

It really does not interest me anymore. It is just the same old shit. Floyd-Pac won't happen, so and so is negotiating with whoever, negotiations fail etc Some trainer comes out running their mouth, it is just so much fucking talking and not alot of fighting.
There is just way too much empty talking between camps nowadays for the game to be really interesting. The fighters are barely fighting, and even when they do we rarely see intriuging battles. Maybe there is just too much money in the game today, I don't know. But seriously, it is just so tired reading these forums and articles because it is just as I said, so much dialogue about who said what, and so little real fighting happening.
The main reason I come on here now is the lounge.Comment
