Boxing is so played out and boring these days

It really does not interest me anymore. It is just the same old shit. Floyd-Pac won't happen, so and so is negotiating with whoever, negotiations fail etc Some trainer comes out running their mouth, it is just so much fucking talking and not alot of fighting.

There is just way too much empty talking between camps nowadays for the game to be really interesting. The fighters are barely fighting, and even when they do we rarely see intriuging battles. Maybe there is just too much money in the game today, I don't know. But seriously, it is just so tired reading these forums and articles because it is just as I said, so much dialogue about who said what, and so little real fighting happening.

The main reason I come on here now is the lounge.

But there is only so much to discuss when talking about history. and it is usually the same crap, whining about whether Tyson would beat Ali etc

And I'm not complaining about the idiots on here, that is expected, it's a forum. But I'm talking about boxing itself today, the state the sport is in. so much talk not enough action.

Many of those guys are hardly recognisable names (and I'm saying how the names aren't fighting enough) , and even the ones that are in that list, you get back to me on how good those fights turn out.

What names do you want to see? Pac has a fight scheduled, Martinez has a fight scheduled, Cotto has a fight scheduled, JuanMa has a fight scheduled, both Klitschko's have fights scheduled.

If you are expecting fights to suck and don't want to see guys whose names you don't recognize you are missing out on one of my favorite parts of boxing.

Mora vs Vera was supposed to suck according to several threads here. I watched it and it was a solid fight.

so basically boxing=Floyd and Pac. I see.

people need to respect guys that arent as well known but are still in the top 15 in their weight class. Even lowly ranked guys are still some of the best boxers in the world, and fans need to look deeper than names and realise how difficult and advanced boxing really is.

It's because of the multiple sanctioning bodies and promoters - everyone knows that. Look at this past weekend's UFC card - Silva vs. Belfort, Franklin vs. Griffin, Bader vs. Jones... These big names fought each other in ONE card because Dana White told them they had to. There's no arguing or whining... just the business of fighting.

In boxing, not only do you have multiple champions in one weight division, but fighters individually represented by greedy promoters who won't match outside of their agency.

Recently, the UFC swallowed WEC, which had within itself some really exciting and talented fighters. Now they're all under one name and fighting each other. This is how boxing in the new world should be run. Once these old guys like Arum and King die, it's time for some much needed change.
