Well from what it seems GBP is just not giving their fighters any chances of making deals unless they extend contracts, if they keep that up everyone is going to join TR, Richard Schaffer is just too proud and Uncle Bob is not gonna back down and he shouldn't he's been doing this way longer that GBP, nothing againts either promoters but the best fights for boxing are among fighters from both companies, they need to patch up and actually worry about what the fans want to see, Arum is going to find out the hard way with Pac/Mos

Divide and conquer.
I don't think Top Rank has real shot at signing JMM. Like Earner intimated JMM already did a stint under TR and apparently he didn't like it.
Since Pac ran through TR's own stable, they have no problem giving SSM and JMM fights with Paquiao... just not under GBP.
Maybe Bradley they can get, but water down your enemy even more.
Let them go independent, make the fights. Done.
GBP loses more assets, they're screwed.
Interesting pattern...Barrera, Hopkins, Mosley, now Marquez?

damn, more conflict in promotions,**** is getting too out of hand. gbp needs to go down under and scumbag arum needs to croak. i hope marquez doesnt sign with tr just for a pac fight at ww, he will screw his career over one big paycheck. i guess that matters to people more though, man......i dont even know what to think about all this pac/arum situation and finding opponents, **** is messed up... hopefully something can be made thats actually worth it, not a fat marquez at ww, but it might be the only way he gets the fight.....all these promotions and their feuding sucks.Comment

Marquez does not want to give erik morales a shot now....because when morales was on top he would not fight marquez!!! and now late in his carrear when marquez has an edge he does not want this fight he doesnt see value in fighting morales at this time!!!! he knows morales is a has been!!! and concidered washed up so why fight him now???
If that was his philosophy than why has he been in negotiations to make that fight for more than a month? everyone knows he wants Pacquiao. Hell, Manny's easily my favorite fighter but I want him to fight Marquez again above anyone else if Manny can't get Floyd. But this definitely seems like Marquez giving serious thought to moving elsewhere in hopes of making that fight, plus not feeling comfortable with signing a 3 fight extension with the one promoter who doesn't seem able to make that fight after he fights Morales.
Anyone between 140-154 with aspirations of fighting Pac would be foolish to sign more than a one fight deal with GBP. Not because I think they suck or anything, but they're going to be beefing with Arum for longer than a one fight deal is going to last.Comment

JMM leaving GBP is cool by me...JMM doing his own thing with own promotional company is fine.
However, JMM or Bradley or every fighter signing with Top Rank to get a fight. will create a monopoly and that is not good for the sport.
I didn't agree with it when Oscar said it. Because, that is what he wanted to do with GBP and I don't agree with Top rank doing it.
Having a monopoly in the sport is not good man.Comment

They piss off Mosley by pushing Pac/Juan3, lose Shane. Now lose Marquez because they can't get him that fight. I've got to think GBP did alright by both these guys, ask Marco how free agency has been treating him.Comment
