I'm not saying he's Chavez but he is only 20.

If he was Eskimo you wouldn't give him any credit.
Chavez had great attributes that we can't see in Canelo yet, which is why I voted for more time.

    Piss on Eskimos

I need to see more. But he's very young and has quite a bit under his belt already(in terms of numbers of bouts). They are grooming this kid to be the next JCC Sr., and if they do it right they very well just may have one in him. Hatton is his next test. And I think it is safe to say that Saul will not see 147 ever again(As he was touted when they 1st started making noise with him). He is a full-fledge JMW, and that division is HOT!!!!! Give him 2 more years of steady progression in comp, and then put him in with a revitalized James Kirkland, and we as Boxing fans could be in utter utopia bruh.

I do like what I've seen from him so far. He is poised within the ropes. But he hasn't been tested yet, and you have some skilled fighters in that weight-class. If he breezes through Hatton, why not put him in with a Cintron to see what he can do with a Boxer/Puncher(that when he doesnt flake out is a tough fighter to handle).

From what I've seen of Canelo he does everything well, there is not one thing that he is "great" at. Which I think will make for exciting fights in the future.

The kid has the most important attribute for a boxer to succeed: timing. His timing is elite level already and his technique is textbook. The kid doesn't have the speed that impresses, but his timing will make up for it and it'll take him far. His left hand reminds me of Montiel and it'll be a huge problem for his opponents.

Whether it's this year or the next, I would put all my money on him beating Berto, Cotto, or Mosley, if he fought them.
