nothing new here but a broken record of the same old hate and jealousy of mayweather. does'nt matter what the weight drain king and old man fight stalker pacquiao does. ALL BOXING ROADS LEAD TO FLOYD MAYWEATHER.

I will say this, I have been watching a TON of tape lately, like multiple fights per day from both Manny and Floyd. I don't know if they will fight, but if they do mark my words, this is going to be a MASSIVE technical mismatch. Manny is a great fighter, but he has been relying on his hand speed and stamina to beat these guys lately. He has been fighting guys who simply haven't been able to deal with his hand speed and conditioning. IMHO those are the 2 biggest advantages Pac has in every fight. However against Mayweather both of those advantages would be nullified, Mayweather is equally as fast and equally as well conditioned. I rewatched the entire Cotto fight yesterday and it was an EXCELLENT performance by Manny, top notch. However all of this talk about him all of the sudden being a fabulous 2 handed technical boxer simply isn't true. His right hook has improved, and is a decent weapon now, but his jab is still nothing more than a range finder for his straight left. And after watching the Cotto fight again, I think Manny's defense is actually WORSE than I had thought it was before. Cotto literally couldn't miss for the first 5 rounds, and then Manny's hand speed and conditioning were simply too much for him after that. However, one thing Mayweather doesn't get nearly enough credit for is just how accurate of a puncher he is. People, Floyd Mayweather is the most accurate puncher in the HISTORY of Compubox. Since its inception no one has landed a higher percentage of punches than Mayweather. If Cotto, Clottey, and Margs can each land well over 200 punches on Pac what the heck is the most accurate puncher of the last 20 years going to be able to do?
I switch back and forth between what could happen in this fight. But the more I think about it, the more I lean towards Mayweather. Pacquiao has a southpaw stance and has an enormous workrate, terrific speed, great combinations and decent power and head movement (southpaw, mind you). He's looked terrific in all of his last fights, but let's be honest: part of the reason why he's looked good is because his last opponents haven't exactly been the most defensive minded fighters. Clottey was very defensive, but was way, way too defensive in order to be effective, and even then, he managed to give Pacquiao a black eye.

I just can't see Mayweather being knocked out. Díaz managed to stick in there (but because he had already braced himself for the beating he would be taking), Oscar was in there for eight rounds (out of pride), Hatton (well, that came out of left field as a reminder that leaping left hooks are wrong), Cotto (for all his damage, he managed to tough it out for several rounds), Clottey (for all the punches he took, he didn't look that bad damage-wise), and Margarito (12 rounds with Pacquiao despite having one of the worst eye injuries in boxing since the 4th round...wow!).

If all these guys (excluding Hatton) were able to go several rounds with Pacquiao, why can't Mayweather (who's defensively and accurately better)? He has the HIGHEST disparity between connect percentage on opponents and connect percentage of HIS opponents.

I honestly feel that with the way Manny fights and the pride he carries, he would probably be able to make it 12 rounds, as there is no doubt that, despite being a more active fighter, he is more battle worn. He looked spectacular demolishing Cotto and Margarito, but he took his share of punches.

In regards to Mayweather, he shows the tendency to NEED to warm-up during the first rounds of a fight.

Judah gave Mayweather fits in the first four rounds before doing he tends to do, folding under pressure

Oscar was up in the first four rounds against Mayweather

Hatton, though he wasn't winning, had Mayweather uneasy with his footwork and pressure

I can't say anything for Márquez as he didn't do anything notable that gave anyone the impression that he would beat Mayweather.

Mosley made Mayweather vulnerable when he landed, not one, but two big bombs that buzzed Mayweather.

Floyd's vulnerable to rear straights: Oscar landed a terrific one at the end of round 11, Márquez during round 2, Mosley during round 2...I'm sure there are other ones but those are the most flush punches Mayweather's taken in those fights.

Pacquiao has to press the advantage early because if not Mayweather frustrate Pacquiao.

Leading me to believe that, in the best case scenario for Pacquiao's loss, Pacquiao ends up losing 8-4. I can't see Pacquiao beating Mayweather by a wide decision. I could foresee a Mayweather wipeout, but not Pacquiao. Floyd should be the favorite. Pure and simple.
