Floyd did fight a Mosley with 17 months of ring rust, almost as long as Floyd retirement before the last lasted.

I believe Floyd said he needed a warm up fight after that layoff.

Mosley also had a 5 month training camp and was over trained. Clottey fight, Mosley pulled out of that late, then Berto, with the tragedy in Hatti then had to wait another 3 months for Mayweather.

I don't understand why people are praising Mosley for this fight. He's nearing the end of his career, so what if he gets his ass whooped, he'll earn one of the highest pay checks in his career.

It's not that Shane is a dying breed of boxers it's that he is in the same group as fighters who didn't earn a lot so take on what essentially pays them best. If he had earned big money earlier in his career he'd probably be retired.
