Read the title. It says Povetkin in position to fight Haye. Haye didn't choose Povetkin and neither is this fight signed.

Haye still has a chance to be Haye and fight a Harrison type opponent.

I am a boxing fan going on 40 years now.I like Wlad and Vitali and use to like Haye when he was a cruiser. But when he jumped to heavy he no longer wants the tough fights so he lost me as a fan. Povetkin is ok, but he seems to lack the confidence and the aggression needed to be a heavy weight champ.

Povetkin would be a better choice than Mormeck or Holyfield, but either Haye or Povetkin won't want this fight. And anyone who says Povetkin is better than Adamek, I believe Adamek would beat Povetkin. Povetkin has been feasting on bums for almost 3 years now. His last good win was against Chambers almost 3 years ago!! He didn't look that great in a few of his last fights. He has declined in my opinion.

If Haye isn't going to fight Wlad or Vitali (he isn't), then I have no issue with him fighting the #1 contender, except I believe this fight will never happen either.

Did you guys realize Povetkin hasn't fought a quality opponent in 3 years?

I would love to see this fight come together. There are a lot of questions about both of these fighters and the winner would automatically emerge as the top contender for Wladimir's title. I definitely think the fight would be intriguing and would also have the potential to be a great one.

well like most Klitshko fans would say, Haye hasnt fought a decent opponent in 3 years too, if not his entire career, so where is the problem if 2 fighters who are always fighting bums fight each other?... unless they fight a klitshko then everyone is a bum apparently (if you sit on the internet and believe it all)

bumfights mk 2, although this time no tattoos on foreheads lol
lets get povetkin and haye on....i wonder who backs out first lol

You do bring up a good point here that hasnt been mentioned yet. Povetkin/Atlas might not want Haye...

If thats the case, I would like to see Haye take on Dimentrenko. That would be better than Aids-patient Chagaev.

They share one common trait, they both backed out of fighting Wlad.
