Im not saying its as popular as soccer is in other countries but the Superbowl is the most watched sports event in the world every year. So to ignore its popularity is just ignorance on your part, so cos you don't watch it no one else does.

In America everyone knows what soccer is even if many don't like it they will still acknowledge it. When big European clubs play in America they often don't sell out the stadium if you want to compare like with like.

Not even close, Champions league final, World cup final. Almost a billion people watched the world cup final.

I never had a conversation with friend or work colleagues about American Football. I've talked about triathlon, swimming, boxing, football, golf, cricket, rugby, athletics, darts, pool, tennis, and many other sporting event.

The vast majority of the UK population do even think about American football.

The American football is so boring it needs cheerleaders and half time shows to make it interesting.

Even one of the Sky sport presenters that just did a piece on the superbowl, has said she fell asleep when watching it.

Man ur an idiot did you even watch the Superbowl? You clearly don't like the sport so you have no interest in it. The world cup final is every 4 years too. The Champions League might have more viewers Im not sure to be honest but I say the Superbowl is definatly second if it isn't first. Soccer is far more boring than American football play a whole game and there can be no winner or even a goal.

Green bay and the Steelers don't even have cheerleaders clown. The Superbowl was on till after 3 in the morning over here so that might have something to do with her falling asleep.

No I didn't watch and I never will, it will watse 2 hours of my life that I will never get back.

American footbal is just Rugby with padding that has lots of breaks in play.

And just because I don't like American Football that doesn't make me an idiot, unless you think well over 5.5 billion people are idiots.

Actually its much tougher than rugby even rugby players admit as much. But since you have never watched a game you obviously have more knowledge then me. Rugby have lots of rules to protect players while only recently American football have started to do this. Here are the viewing figures from a previous Super Bowl just to show you how wrong you are about its popularity.http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7227794.stm

Every position is quite easy to translate to, other then a QB, as it is unique. That not to say a Rugby player wont be able to perform well as one.

As for the kicking, am not sure what you mean there as there is no contest in that department.

A key argument is also how well will AF players fear in playing Rugby? By my reckoning that if a Rugby team played a AF team at AF they will cope better then if it was the other way round.

American football was formed from rugby, all American sports apart from Basketball are not original, they are variations of existing sports.

If you like it then good for you, but the reality is that in pubs work places in the back pages of papers American football is just a foot note. And there are many other sport that are far more popular.

It is hardly big in Africa, or Asia is it.

Well every time I was soccer I see these big Euro dudes get stepped or whenever the cleats just touch them, they act like they got hit by an SUV. Now imagine if they get tackled by these mutants who play NFL.

East Europeans are slow but strong. They lack explosiveness and speed.

Guys lets just focus on the fact that Wlad Klitschko is probably the greatest NFL player of all time, he just chose not to play it. Its a shame too. I mean, meanwhile football players are all crying about hits tot he head...they already wear helmets and more padding than a 13th century Crusader...now you cant hit them in the head? Can you imagine Vitali Klitschko as a tight end or as a defensive end...hed be out there killing people. And if any of you really think that X nfl player could beat either klitschko in a fight...you just expose yourself as a hater. And tot he person who brought up how Brock Lesnar got laughed out of the league...hey, let him try to box...lets see what happens then. Dude gassed in a fight after 25 seconds. Even David Haye...who I do not like and is western euro...but even he chose not to go into football although he most likely would dominate it. Its a shame that football is a sport with such a small talent pool. Hopefully, Eastern Euros start embracing it so it can bring a golden age to american football.
