Berto vs. Williams. Should this fight be made????

We all want Andre Berto to step up and fight a extreme threat. We also want Paul to get his ass back in the squared circle(Since Sergio brought Mr. Peterson back down to earth)and produce some more entertaining fights.

Paul and his camp have been saying for quite some time that he feels most comfortable at 147.

Berto and his camp have been saying they are ready and willing to take on any notable name.

Paul's name still has some umph on it even after the crushing KO by Sergio. Why are we not hearing about Paul vs. Andre, rather than Andre vs. Victor?

I think if Paul is going to campaign at 147; then the fight to make is with Andre Berto.

I think if Andre Berto wants to sweeten his name for a mega fight(With Manny of Floyd)then he should take on the fella that no one at 147 wants/wanted to see.

Whats yall's take on this possible match up? I mean both can be ready for a match up by April. I say lets make this match up. Poll to come.

No. This fight doesn't need to happen at all. They both need to move in separate directions.

Berto hasn't beaten any dangerous guy soundly. When he stepped up against Collazo,he damn near lost, his daddy knew he lost & I believe he lost. But like U said,no one at 147 wanted to fight the Punisher, not even the top 2 pfp fighters,I don't think Berto is man enough for the Punisher & won't fight him, just like Floyd & Manny won't.

Even after he got brutally stopped, Berto wouldn't want anything to do with a 6ft southpaw.

But lookin at it. Doesn't this fight make perfect sense? I mean we aint heard ***** from Paul since the KO. I think that is doing nothing but damage for his career right now(Not like they haven't damaged it enough with that most feared fighter business).

Berto's been in possesion of that belt far to long to be fighting yet another 140lber. Paul and them been sayin he is most comfy at 147. They dont share promoters, so it souldn't be a problem for this fight to go off without a hitch.

Has ther been any rumblings about the possiblity of this fight even? I know I haven't seen anything.

HBO could pressure this match up. They need to rebound from losing Manny.

I'd definitely be interested in seeing it, but I don't think it needs to happen.

Lets face it Callozo is a tough outting for damn near anybody. So I got ya there. Fully understand where you comin from. I would like Andre to rematch him as well or fight Cintron(just to shut him the **** up). But I think that Andre can bypass Kermit if he takes on Paul, and there will be NO heartache from the fans behind it regardless if Paul's last fight resulted in him being KTFO.

Williams is too much of a threat to Berto, so this won't happen any time soon. It would be great to see Berto fight bigger threats, but he's gonna be milked a while longer against weak opposition.

You dont think it would bring some much needed excitement to the WW division? I think it can help revive the division while we wait for the 140lbers to move up. Manny and Floyd have this division held hostage right now, and the 140's aint ready to move in just yet. Cintron appearently is back at 147, Mike Jones has to get through Karass and then he'll make back the buzz he had before the 1st fight. With Paul back some life could be pumped into the division. IMHO.
