I'm sure Mayas will drop by any second to tell you: "HUMBERTO SOTO WAS DUCKED BY MANNY PACQUIAO, JMM AND EVERY OTHER BIG FIGHTER. NOBODY WANTS A PIECE OF HUMBERTO SOTO BECAUSE HE'S THE BEST P4P FIGHTER. HUMBERTO SOTO WILL RUN YOU OVER WITH HIS BUS BECAUSE HE'S THE BEST P4P FIGHTER. HUMBERTO SOTO ONCE BREAST FED AN AILING FLAMINGO BACK TO LIFE BECAUSE HE'S THE BEST P4P FIGHTER."

He chased pacquiao for some time the same way bradley is doing now. Soto vs. Rios is the way to go.

As much as people like to say it was FOTY, that was a fairly one sided beating urbano took. I only remember giving urbano 2-3 rounds at best. Urbano landed some of his shots, but he was ready to go several times. The only reason he started getting to soto toward the end was due to the fact that soto was dead tired from boxing his ears off. I dont think he is on the downside, though he does not belong at 135.

Yeah, Antillon was as dogged as hell but he never really looked like winning at any point.

A long time ago yes, and maybe possibly still. But he's nowhere near what he once was.

You are right. He is not what he once was. I have always said he is a poor man's Marquez. One of my favorite knockouts.

That was a beautiful finish. In his prime, Soto was an offensive machine. Deceptively fast hands as well. Had a good beard and could box effectively when needed. A well-rounded fighter who loved to brawl. It's a shame a lot of the bigger fights didn't materialize then. By the time he fought Guzman, he was starting to slow down a tad and not at his peak weight. That he's still competitive now speaks volumes as to how good he was then.

Once upon time he was, now he's avoiding Brandon Rios.
