the jab itself is great acctually, sometimes he flicks it and kind of backhands it a little. but when he throws it with conviction it has a great combination of speed and power. problem is he doesnt use it very well. its kind of hard finding the right angle for the jab when a lefty is fighting a orthodox fighter, but devon being a southpaw he should be used to that. yet he tends to be happy just jabbing his oponents lead hand to distract him, but when u do that for 12 rounds it gets predictable. u need to land a few good jabs before u can just feint it and set up other punches without the jab.

He has a flicker jab which he uses to judge distance and create openings. Mosley does this. His opponent doesnt have to worry about it cuz theres no power behind it. The problem is he doesn't throw it hard enough and doesnt follow it up with another punch.

I blame his trainer who is pathetic. Bradleys trainer was giving him good advice but Alexanders trainer was mostly complaining to the ref. He needs a new trainer asap.

Kevin Cunningham is a ****** messiah
but alexander needs to bring in another trainer to refine his game

          ronnie shields, baby
          ronnie shields

          go watch the urango fight
devon has a hard jab against a guy who isnt moving his head
          he's naturally right handed

his worst punch is his left hand
          kotelnik showed us that

          he lacks other dimensions

          he's young and talented physically
in his division he's got to slow things down or he's just going to be fed to the wolves on hbo in the next couple of years and rack up some losses

I don't think he's all that good period. And furthermore, off topic a little, I think all that much of Bradley either. That is, I don't see what the big deal about him is.

It could be that Alexander just made it an ugly boring fight with his style and holding.
