Not a fan of the standing 8 count, I've seen refs use it to save the house fighter from getting knocked out.
I think with the 3 knockdown rule, if someone gets knocked down 3 times then they're usually on the way out anyway and should probably be stopped, but I wouldnt make it law.

naw..cause in the am's alot of fighters get standing 8 counts just cause their opponent is throwing flurries..and alot of knockdowns are flash knockdowns a fighter can go down 3 times and not really be hurt so theres no need in stopping that fight...this subjest is really circumstanstail
Sometimes guy can go down 3 times and still be able to continue so I am against the 3 knockdown rule. We wouldn't have seen the Marquez comeback against Pac if that was the rule. It could prevent many other comebacks by fighters that have heart and warrior spirit
