Its kinda weak imo. Either take a knee or stay on your feet.

yeah, but I'd rather see a standing 8 count then a ref prematurely ending a fight.

Happens all the time in boxing unfortunately. Some guy will get hit hard a couple times then the ref flies in and ends the bout!

      pisses me off.

I think it is truly up to the ref and your corner to make intelligent decisions

if there were a three knockdown rule we would have never seen

JMM come back against Pacquiao or Corrales come back etc.

Not a fan of the standing 8 count, I've seen refs use it to save the house fighter from getting knocked out.

I think with the 3 knockdown rule, if someone gets knocked down 3 times then they're usually on the way out anyway and should probably be stopped, but I wouldnt make it law.

See Pacquaio-JMM III for the argument against the three knockdown rule...

naw..cause in the am's alot of fighters get standing 8 counts just cause their opponent is throwing flurries..and alot of knockdowns are flash knockdowns a fighter can go down 3 times and not really be hurt so theres no need in stopping that fight...this subjest is really circumstanstail

Sometimes guy can go down 3 times and still be able to continue so I am against the 3 knockdown rule. We wouldn't have seen the Marquez comeback against Pac if that was the rule. It could prevent many other comebacks by fighters that have heart and warrior spirit

Don't thin a 3 knockdown rule is necessary. If stopping the fight is necessary after 3 knockdowns the ref will call the fight off.
