I find it really odd that people take so much interest in the entourage of fighters. I never thought I'd see Leonard Ellerbe or Pacquiao's friend with Down Syndrome (Bubby I think his name is?) get threads made about them.

Anyone notice a lot of general public chatter on May-Cotto in public, at work ect?

Ive heard a lot of talk on Mayweather-Cotto by the general public. On the radio, people at work, people in stores ect.

I guess its good that boxing is getting some attention. I hear some pretty ridiculous things being said, like people saying that Mayweather already knocked out cotto before in a previous fight and this is a rematch. And the puerto rican guy that was arguing with that person not even realizing that was untrue to call bull**** on it.


I stay out of it because its good boxing is getting more attention but "most people dont know **** about boxing".

Money/Alvarez - Cotto/Mosley Gloves Controversy?

The Nevada State Athletic Commission ruled the gloves unapproved for both Mayweather and Alvarez because the thumb is covered in patent leather, not genuine leather, and because a hard seam at the top of the thumb protrudes and could ultimately cut an opponent.

A new all-genuine leather version of the gloves were to be flown to Las Vegas from New York Saturday morning, said Tony Lato, the chief inspector for Nevada.
